Perfect Blood Pout

Okay so maybe the title is a little too much, but come on! Everybody loves the red lip look. Even though we might not wear it much and save it for those special occasions - or just want to play around with makeup like me;) - you gotta know the how to. Here are simple tips I've learned to achive that pefect pout.

1) Make sure lips are exfoliated. Nobody likes flakey/dry lips, so remember this simple tip. If you don't have an exfoliant with you, you could do one of two things that wont break your wallet.
  • Rub you tooth brush gently across your lips after brushing your teeth. It'll smooth your lips and BONUS - the mint in your left over toothpaste will leave your lips tingling...if you like that sorta thing. LOL.
  • Get some vaseline + suger and rub it across your lips. It might not taste as good as your toothpaste, but its very effective.
* I use C.O. Bigelow's Mentha Lip Buffer Gentle Formula from Bath and Body Works*

2) Moisturize lips. Yes yes I know, so far this might be alot of product but trust me it'll pay off in the long run.

*I use Blistex DCT (Daily Conditioning Treatment) It's Great! It has SPF 20 and also conditions my lips while protecting them, so this thing has everything. So I definitely recommend it.*

TIP!! Make sure your Lipstick, Lip Liner and Gloss are all the same color so you have the most vibrant lip color possible.!

3) Line your lips along your natural lip edge. In my opinion, red already makes you lips plum looking enough so please dont try to fake because it could end in DISASTER!! :(

4) Now with the lipstick...pick a color your most comfortable with...AND CHUCK IT AWAY! Pick the most daring red you can stand and get ready for this step! If your confident and can just apply the lipstick on your lips on problem, go ahead. But if your new to lipstick or just wanna make sure you do it perfectly take a lip brush and then apply lipstick.

5) Finally! Take your gloss and apply it just as you applied your lipstick. (Lip brush or not...)
~ If you want more of a matte finish though, skip this step.

And.....TADA!! Perfect red lips in hopefully 2 to 3 mins. Hope this was helpful! Byee! <3
